Here's exactly what it costs.
Grooming is priced by your dog's size and coat, so a five pound Yorkie and a hundred pound lab aren't paying the same thing. Find your dog's size below, pick the service, and you'll know your price before you call. First visit is $10 off.
Find your dog's size first
Size sets the price and roughly how long they'll be here, so start here and the rest of the page makes sense. The times are for a full groom.
| Size | Weight | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 5 to 20 lbs | 1½ to 2 hours |
| Medium | 21 to 60 lbs | 2 to 3 hours |
| Large | 61 to 100 lbs | 3 to 4 hours |
| Extra large | 100+ lbs | Up to 5 hours |
Not sure? Text me their weight and breed and I'll tell you. The times are estimates, not promises — a dog who needs to stop and take a minute takes longer, and I would much rather that than rush them through it.
Grooming books up about a week ahead, and I don't take walk-ins. Text me early in the week if you want a Saturday.

Deshedding is priced by how much coat is coming out, and I'll quote you before I start.
If your dog is matted, tell me. You won't be in trouble.
Mats happen, especially in Miami humidity and especially on long coats. They pull at the skin and they take real time to work through, which is why there's sometimes an extra fee.
What I won't do is hurt your dog to save a coat. If the kindest thing is to shave it down and start fresh, I'll talk it through with you before I pick up a blade.
Older dogs, sore dogs, and scared dogs
Senior dogs
Old dogs get breaks whenever they want one, and a belly strap to take their weight so they aren't holding themselves up for an hour. If your dog has a health problem, tell me what it is and I'll work around it. No haircut is worth leaving them sore.
Nervous dogs and first grooms
Some dogs arrive shaking, either because it's their first time or because somebody rushed them once and they remember it. We go slowly: breaks, treats, and letting them hear the clippers before they feel them.
What a good first visit looks like
Not a perfect haircut. A dog who will walk in a second time. If I have to choose between the two, I'll choose the second one and tell you why.
If your dog has bitten, I'd rather know than find out.
It changes how I plan the appointment. It doesn't decide whether I take it. Most of that behavior comes from fear or from something that went badly once, not from a mean dog, and I'm glad to give one a chance to trust me.
If we do need a safety measure, I reach for a grooming cone first. A muzzle is a last resort, and only when it's the difference between a safe groom and no groom at all.
Worth mentioning when you book:
- Nail trims, or having their paws held
- The blow dryer
- Brushing, and working out tangles
- Clippers and scissors, especially near the face
- Being handled or touched anywhere in particular
There's a question about this on the booking form, so you don't have to work out how to bring it up.
